Petrol prices

The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia decreased by 1.4¢ to 121.7¢ a litre nationally in the week ending November 27, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price decreased 1.9¢ to 120.3¢ a litre, with the regional price decreasing 0.2¢ to 124.7¢ a litre.

The most expensive fuel in the country was in the NT at 128.4¢ a litre, followed by Victoria (127.1¢), Tasmania (126.3¢), WA (123.8¢), Queensland (123.7¢), NSW/ACT (118.1¢), and SA (109.8¢).

Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest fuel for the week at 106.7¢ a litre, followed by Sydney (111.6¢), Perth (122.3¢), Brisbane (122.8¢), Hobart (126.3¢), Melbourne (128.6¢), Canberra (128.7¢), and Darwin (129.5¢).
